Two new dog breeds have been welcomed by the Westminster Kennel Club to compete at the next year's 139th annual dog show.

Let's meet Falko first, who is a 13-month-old Wirehaired Vizsla and was introduced to the public right after he took a little nap.

"We are very excited that he'll be part of the show. It's been a long process. I'm happy he'll be part of this competition," Falko's owner, 55-year-old Anton Sagh of Montreal, was quoted as saying."

Costing about $1,400, the Vizslas are Hungarian hunting dogs. They are a lean, athletic breed having wiry dense coats.

'He's hyper by nature. He's athletic and a hunter,' Sagh said.

Now, let's meet the fluffy white Luna, a Coton de Tulear, a breed from Madagascar. However, Luna belongs to New York.

"They are super fabulous. "They weren't bred to work. She's pretty chill," Adrianne Dering, the dog's handler was quoted as saying.

One pup of such breed sells between $2,000 to $3,000.

The two champs were seen sharing the stage and Falko also licked Luna's ears as a friendly gesture.

'They are friends now,' said David Frei, a Kennel Club spokesman.

Well, Falko and Luna will compete with each other in February next year in Madison Square Garden.

After the introduction of these two new breeds, the Kennel Club now recognizes no less than 192 breeds in the competition.

Also in the competition is a superstar dog called Mr. America, a Leonberger breed, who has worked in a lot of movies and theater, his owner Morgan Avila says.

According to Avila, Mr. America has worked in 'The Equalizer,' starring Denzel Washington and Bill Pullman.
