By Distinctive ears (upturned ears), Marwari horses can be easily recognised with tips of ears touching each other. Facial profile of Marwari horse is straight & nose is Roman shaped. Chest of horse is deep and tail is usually set high. Their back is always long and croup is pronounced. Legs have well formed hooves and neck is slight running to wither & clean. They are hot blood high strung animal and their natural way of walking is smooth. Overall they have astounding beauty.

History :
Arabian horses crossed with Indian small & hard ponies having poor conformation gave birth to Marwari Horses. From north, Mongolian influence is also in Marwari Horses. They are named Marwar from Marwar region of Rajasthan where Marwar used them as foundation bloodstock. This breed was developed in 12th century. Before Marwari Horses to be used for hauling and light draft work, they were used as Rajput cavalry horse traditionally. In 12th century, these horses were considered as divine being. 
Suitable :
As Arabian horses are spirited than warm blooded breeds & coldblooded breeds, so these are also sensitive as per their hot blooded equine. These horses are not for novice horse owners one has to be advance with knowledge and care of this breed for owing them. As per strict guidelines of export, this breed is not available easily.
