World's tallest female dog named Morgan, a Great Dane breed, has passed away. Her owner Cathy Payne has confirmed this news in a Facebook post.

According to Payne, who lives in Strathroy area in Ontario, the pet was playing and 'having fun' and suddenly she collapsed and died.

Condolences poured in the Facebook Page that has been dedicated to Morgan.

The 6-year-old Morgan entered the Guinness World Records 2014 and became the tallest female dog in the world with a height of 98 centimeters and weight about 90 kilograms.

"Morgan was playing and having fun when she collapsed and passed away in seconds in my arms," Payne's Facebook post reads.

"I believe she had a heart attack and I have some peace knowing she did not suffer at all."
